A Little background of Lewis Ryan A.K.A Lewy

Lewy has spent over 25 years in the art and design industry. After completing a Fine Art Degree, he ventured into web design, graphic design, and then into marketing.

Lewy’s previous roles have included Web Designer, Senior Designer, Art Director, and finally Design & Marketing Director, before starting his own business to provide full turn-key creative and marketing solutions to his areas of interest (Music & Beer).

Since starting his own business in 2016 he has worked with a number of Breweries, Musicians, and Music Festivals on a host of creative projects.

Clients include Abbeydale Brewery, Ægir Brewery, Amundsen Brewery, Beer 52, Bang The Elephant Brewing, Brewdog, Buxton Brewery, Duvel, Emperor’s Brewery, Hammerton Brewery, Luda Brewing Co, Rock Leopard Brew Co, Salt Beer Factory, and Vedett.

A home brewer and utter craft beer fan, Lewis understands the beer and brewing industry and its current trends in the UK.

This insight into the industry gives him a competitive edge when illustrating, branding, and marketing for breweries, bottle shops, and bars across the country. In a highly competitive marketplace, Lewis has the knowledge and skills to increase your sales and make you stand out from the crowd.

Artist Statement

“After completing a bachelor degree in Fine Art then spending a career in graphic design & marketing, my work had become much more graphic over time. I like to be diverse in both the media I use to create and the subject matter of each piece. I do not wish to become reliant on computers for this process. Hand drawing, painting, sculpting in traditional media is a must for me – It has to be part of the process in creating my work.

Recently with the rise of AI, I’ve been intentionally making my illustrations more traditional looking, using traditional media (Paint, pencils, chalks, pastels) wherever possible, then scanning and finishing digitally.
